The Pahang Indian Association (PIA) was founded in 1939, driven by the vision to uplift and unite
the Indian community in Pahang. Over the decades, PIA has played a significant role in fostering
education, social welfare, and cultural development, making a lasting impact on countless

Our Mission

  • Promote Unity and Social Welfare – Strengthen bonds within the Indian community through inclusive programs and support services.
  • Preserve and Promote Cultural Heritage – Celebrate and sustain our traditions, language, and cultural identity through events and educational initiatives.
  • Enhance Educational and Economic Opportunities – Provide assistance and platforms for educational advancement, skills development, and economic empowerment, particularly for B40 families and youth
  • Foster Leadership and Volunteerism – Encourage active participation, leadership, and community service among members to build a strong and self-reliant community.
  • Collaborate for Community Advancement – Work with government bodies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to secure opportunities and support for the welfare of the community.
